Interesting project: The impact of climate change on the tourist activities in Romania
In the National Institute of Research-Development in Tourism is embarking on the third stage for the project "Impact of Climate Changes about the Tourist Activities in Romania - Case studies from Mountain and Coastal Tourism." This analysis was presented at the end of March 2011 and coordinated by a team of PhD economists and geographers including Camelia Surugiu, Tamara Simon, Doru Marian Tudorache, Alina Niculescu, and Adrian Radulescu. This research project was sponsored by a grant from the Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research and specifically targeted resorts and winter sports areas around the Carpathians (55) with a detailed analysis of a subset of 18 resorts and tourist locations. This phase of the research included only those in the Southern Black Sea coast of Romania, namely 13 tourist resort facilities.
