Findings and recommendations

The mountain.TRIP projects has resulted in several outcomes:

• Synthesis of selected EU-funded projects and dissemination of that synthesis in adapted formats

• Tools to enhance communication between science and practice

• Recommendations for improving communication and dissemination of project results.

You will find below the recommendations, presented as a summary (3 pages) and in more detail (6 pages).

The recommendations document starts off with a summary of our observations and recommendations, followed by suggestions on how to implement them.

Although our recommendations are mainly based on our findings from research projects funded mainly through the EU Framework Programme (FP) and Interreg C programmes, most are also valid for other programmes (IEE, Eco-innovation, Interreg A and B, national programmes, etc.).

In addition to the recommendations, the document “Implementing the core findings and recommendations - The road to follow: first steps” presents three concrete proposals for actions to enhance communication. These actions should be implemented as soon as possible; some EU stakeholders have already volunteered to lead on some of them.
