Objectives of the workshop:
This workshop sought to obtain feedback from practitioners and their organisations on communication options to transfer EU research results to targeted groups of mountain practitioners. The communication options have been developed in the form of information strategies. These strategies have been targeted at four different groups of mountain practitioners.

The workshop was structured around four information strategies, and their set of communication product ideas. This has been reflected in the set-up of the World Café method used during the workshop, which allowed discussing the strategies separately at four different tables. The discussion at these tables was guided by a list of questions. In addition, a fifth table gathered feedback on overarching questions related to the gap between science and practice and thus also generated reactions and input independently from the proposed strategies and product ideas.

Workshop input:
A background paper was prepared for the workshop presenting the information strategies and the main questions structuring the discussion.
Find the document here.

Sophie Herbert presented a summary of mountain.TRIP results regarding the fit between research results and practitioners‘ information needs at the workshop. The presentation can be downloaded here.

Workshop results:
Participants’ feedback took the form of testing and validating the developed communication options; checking their suitability; identifying strengths and weaknesses and creating new ideas on how strategies and products can be improved.
